Daughter is an impressionist take on a school of fishes. With over thousands of strokes, this work has a rhythm and movement that spans the painting end to end.
Life is larger than us, deeper than any of our selves, and will always remain more mysterious than anyone would be able to explore. Nav made this painting over 5 months while they were pregnant. The school of fishes and the red circle as the source of all life, hide the symbolism of life originating from one of the infinite possibilities, to manifest and unfold.
The painting uses Nav's signature colours and blend of metallic shines along with other matt paints. Under dim light, different parts of the painting shine with brilliance as the fishes' eyes.
